Welcome, Zach Turcotte

Please join us in welcoming Zach Turcotte to the Healthy Acadia team! 

Zach joins our team through EMDC’s workforce development program, serving an eight-week internship as Activity Supports Coordinator at Healthy Acadia’s INSPIRE Community Recovery Center in Ellsworth. Zach provides direct support and resource navigation for community members.

Zach, what prompted you to join the Healthy Acadia team?

I love helping people & using my shared experience to relate to people.

What most inspires you about Healthy Acadia's work? 

I want people to feel that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and using my lived experience with both homelessness and addiction to show them there is a way.

What most inspires you on a personal level?

The role models I keep around me that show me everyday living a good healthy life is possible.

What is your favorite thing to do, or place to be, in Maine, and why?

I love to be on a lake fishing with friends or family & my dog, Bella. My dog Bella is my absolute world.

Zach also enjoys playing bingo with his co-workers. He and Bella currently reside in Orland.
