$110,000 Matching Funds Will Double Community Gifts to Support Healthy Acadia’s Health & Hope Campaign 

MAINE -  Healthy Acadia is pleased to announce $110,000 in matching funds to double community gifts in support of their Health & Hope Campaign. Through this special matching opportunity, every dollar donated will be matched, helping expand the impact of community generosity across all 11 priority areas of the campaign. A dedicated $10,000 match is available for each priority area, creating an opportunity for donors to have twice the impact while advancing vital community health initiatives.

The $1.5 million Health & Hope campaign, launched in the Spring of 2026, is about meeting urgent needs right now; strengthening programs people rely on; and building long-term stability so Healthy Acadia can respond to whatever comes next. The campaign goal is two fold; to raise $500,000 for Healthy Acadia’s endowment, and to raise $1 million to support programming that helps people stay well, recover, and move forward, including:

“The Health & Hope Campaign is part of Healthy Acadia’s 25th Year celebrations,” shared Shoshona Smith, Healthy Acadia’s Development Director. “Donations to the campaign, which are doubled right now, help us serve our community and make a real difference in the lives of our neighbors now as well as across our communities long into the future. We appreciate every gift, in any amount!”

“Our work is really about neighbors helping neighbors, making sure people have what they need to stay well and get through tough times,” said Tracey Carlson, Communications Director at Healthy Acadia. “That’s what public health looks like at the local level, and it’s at the heart of what we do every day. Together, we’re making health happen.”

Community members can support their neighbors by contributing to Healthy Acadia’s direct programming - helping to ensure that individuals and families receive the support they need now. Or they can give to the organization’s endowment to strengthen long-term, sustainable funding to address health challenges and benefit our communities in the years ahead. Every gift made right now will be doubled by the matching funds. Planned gifts, such as bequests, are also encouraged, as they leave a legacy of community support that is so meaningful.
