Welcome, Isi Muñoz Segovia
Please join us in welcoming Isidora (Isi) L. Muñoz Segovia to the Healthy Acadia team!

Isi previously served as Advocacy Developer with MDI Biological Laboratory, where she connected with schools across Maine to test water quality and provide resources for students and teachers about advocating for arsenic-free water. Originally from Madrid, Spain, Isi currently resides in Bar Harbor.
Isi, what prompted you to join the Healthy Acadia team?
The work that Healthy Acadia does unites my interests in sustainable and healthy food systems, social justice, and education - which are some of my core passions. When this opportunity appeared I was so excited to put into practice all the things I have learned through my education and further my professional skills in a team with such visionary goals as Healthy Acadia.
What most inspires you about Healthy Acadia's work?
Having community at the center of our work is definitely very inspiring, and particularly, with my role as a Nutrition Educator for SNAP-Ed, empowering people from the whole spectrum of ages to become actively engaged in their and their communities' health is super inspiring.
What most inspires you on a personal level?
People's true passions. I think that I have become most inspired when I am with people who fiercely follow their passions without hesitation.
What is your favorite thing to do, or place to be, in Maine, and why?
One of the things I enjoy the most about Maine is the ocean - visiting islands or simply swimming brings me so much joy and excitement. The ocean holds so much life and is a constant reminder of our connection with the earth, as water is such an essential part of us.
I also love art and I recently started exploring dance, so I would love to connect with other dancers!
