Pride Month Events

June is Pride Month, a time for everyone, everywhere to come together in celebration and to generate awareness and inspire action around social and historical issues impacting the LGBTQ community and allies.

Important dates to remember:

Ellsworth Pride is hosting their second annual Pride Fest! Admission is free, and all are welcome and invited to join in on Sunday, June 12, 2022, at 11:30 at Knowlton Park, Ellsworth. 

This year’s much-anticipated Pride Fest promises to be even bigger and better than the inaugural kickoff event. All of the entertainment family-friendly and is appropriate for all ages. 

Stanley Subaru, the event’s major sponsor, is making it possible to bring back last year’s headline act: Curbside Queens featuring Geo Neptune. Additional featured performers will include Ellsworth High School Jazz Combo, The Crown Vics, Sourdough Down, and Whippoorwill Wood.  

The event will include local food trucks and item vendors, T-shirts, flags and other items for sale. Several community organizations will be on hand to provide information and outreach to youth and families with regard to physical and mental health, services, resources, and more! 

Event organizers respectfully request that attendees park at the Moore Community Center or at Ellsworth City Hall.

Downeast Pride will take place June 24, 25, 26 in Eastport and Lubec. It will feature the return of Hope Rovelto's printing press, art projects, live music, and much much more. All are welcome and invited to attend this all ages community event.
