Legislative Breakfasts Focus on Health Needs and Opportunities

On December 13, 2024, a group of Healthy Acadia Board and staff members met with Maine legislators representing Washington County.

Healthy Acadia recently had the privilege of hosting two legislative breakfasts aimed at fostering deeper connections with our state legislators and discussing vital community health needs and opportunities. These gatherings provided an invaluable platform to share our ongoing work, listen to feedback, and explore potential collaborations for the future.

The first event took place in Machias on December 13th, followed by a second breakfast in Ellsworth on January 10th. We were honored to welcome six of our region’s dedicated legislators who generously gave their time to engage with us. Their thoughtful participation and insights underscored their commitment to serving our communities and improving public health across the region.
