INSPIRE Reading Book Club, and Cooking Classes!

You are invited to join our new INSPIRE Reading Book Club!

INSPIRE Reading Book Club, a partnership between Healthy Acadia's INSPIRE Recovery Center and Ellsworth Public Library, will begin on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 6 p.m.  Everyone is welcome to join this monthly book group discussion featuring books that deal with the subjects of addiction, self-care, and mental health.

The group will meet in person at Healthy Acadia’s INSPIRE Center (24 Church Street, Ellsworth) at 6 p.m. on Thursday, January 13. There will be a Zoom option for those interested in joining remotely.

In January, the book group will discuss the memoir, Everything is Horrible and Wonderful, by Stephanie Wittels Wachs. People reviewed the book: "Comedy whiz Harris Wittels, a producer on Parks and Rec, had it all - until he OD'd on heroin at 30 in 2015. His sister, a drama teacher, poignantly describes his sobriety and relapses and her family's painful year after his death. But her beloved brother's wry jokes add leavening."

To sign up, please contact Beth Alteri at beth.alteri@healthyacadia.org
