Free Workplace Wellness Presentations for Washington and Hancock County Employers
Healthy Acadia is offering free virtual workplace wellness presentations for businesses and employers in Washington and Hancock counties this January.
These sessions will highlight the State of Maine’s Workplace Wellness Toolkit, developed by the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention. The toolkit focuses on building healthier, more connected workplaces and supporting team retention by reducing substance use and strengthening prevention efforts.
During the presentation, Healthy Acadia’s prevention staff will cover:
Signs of substance use in the workplace
Workplace risk factors that can increase stress and substance use
The importance of positive workplace norms and how to address concerns with care
The benefits of employing youth and the role of positive role modeling
The sessions will be held on Zoom and are offered at no cost. Employers can choose from two dates, each with two time options:
Tuesday, January 27 at 9 a.m. or 12 p.m.
Friday, January 30 at 9 a.m. or 12 p.m.
These presentations are part of prevention efforts supported by the Maine CDC and are designed to give employers practical tools they can use right away.
