Discover the Power of Tai Chi for Health and Wellness
Healthy Acadia invites community members to experience the many health benefits of tai chi, a gentle yet powerful practice that supports both physical and mental well-being. Often called “moving meditation,” tai chi blends slow, low-impact movements with mindful breathing and focused awareness, making it accessible for people of all ages and fitness levels. The practice can improve balance, flexibility, and cognitive function, while helping to reduce stress, lower blood pressure, strengthen the immune system, and ease chronic pain and inflammation.
All courses are taught by certified instructors trained through the Tai Chi for Health Institute, founded by Dr. Paul Lam. Healthy Acadia’s instructors are passionate about helping individuals enhance their well-being through tai chi. The internationally recognized Tai Chi for Health program is recommended by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Council on Aging for its proven effectiveness in promoting strength, stability, and overall wellness.
