Women, Providing Healing, Promoting Hope

March is Women’s History Month. This month, we invite you to join us in honoring the many local women who have made and who continue to make a positive impact on the health of our communities.

Women have long advocated for compassionate care, dignified treatment, and exploration of new pathways in public health and in women’s mental and physical health. This year’s Women’s History Month theme, “Providing Healing, Promoting Hope,” is both a tribute to the ceaseless work of caregivers and frontline workers during this ongoing pandemic and also a recognition of the many ways that women of all cultures have provided both healing and hope throughout history.

Women of Maine, you are making history.

  • Women who teach,

  • Women who listen,

  • Women who heal,

  • Women who inspire,

  • Women who offer hope.

Women of Maine - our teachers, doctors, nurses, caregivers, teachers, counselors, artists, clerics, coaches, grandmothers, mothers, sisters, daughters - thank you for your commitment to hope and healing.
