Megan, what prompted you to join the Healthy Acadia team?

The desire to help those who suffer from substance use disorder or experience homelessness and life difficulties.

What most inspires you about Healthy Acadia's work?

The ability and resources to give people a better life, and give people the ability to give THEMSELVES a better life.

What most inspires you on a personal level?

Helping those who need it most. Understanding that recoverees’ past mistakes don’t make them bad people, and the fact that helping others attain better lives helps me personally keep myself sober.

What is your favorite thing to do, or place to be, in Maine, and why?

The ocean is my favorite place to be at in this state. I grew up in a military family and moved all over the U.S., Germany, and other European countries. The Maine coast tops the all of the places I’ve lived with its beauty!
