Welcome, Katia McClellan
Please join us in welcoming Katia McClellan to the Healthy Acadia team!
Katia joins us as our Community Outreach and Equity Coordinator. Katia will work closely with Healthy Acadia’s Equity and Admin Teams to advance racial and health equity internally and in the community, serve as a liaison between Healthy Acadia and other area organizations leading similar equity work, and support Healthy Acadia staff across program areas to expand their offerings to reach more diverse populations, as well as to offer non-English services and programming.
Originally from Puebla, Mexico, Katia graduated from BYU-Hawaii. She then served as a community volunteer for 18 months in Utah, where she was assisted with Spanish-English translation while assisting people in efforts to improve their lives.

What is your favorite thing to do, or place to be, in Maine, and why?
I like to run the trail early in the morning. It gives me time to think and relax. I also enjoy creating things with macrame or crochet. And I love cooking, especially Mexican food.
Katia currently resides in Machias with her husband and four cats. Contact Katia by email.
