Thank you for supporting Down East Teen Leadership Camp 2026
Submitted by Sara Willett, Development Manager
Our annual five-day residential Down East Teen Leadership Camp for teens entering grades 7 through 9 is underway this week! Camp is full, and we are excited for youth joining us for another amazing time enjoying team-building activities, inspirational speakers and workshops focused on social issues, and substance use prevention.
We would like to give a big "thank you" to this year's DETLC business and community sponsors. Sponsors have helped make it possible for youth to attend camp, covering partial or all camp costs for individual campers. Special thanks goes out to Anchor Club Washington Lodge #37 AF & AM, Brett and Michael Devlin, Camden National Bank, Classic Hits 92.7/95.3 FM and The Border 102.9FM, New Leaf Counseling, Harwood Lodge #91, Katherine Hall Page, and Satya K Khalsa. Thank you for all that you do!
Teens attending will enjoy excursions such as canoeing and fishing, games, inspiring presentations, connecting with peers, and interactive learning workshops. “We are overjoyed to again offer this overnight camp experience for area teens,” said Camp Director Sara McConnell. We simply could not do this all without our community and sponsors coming together to champion our youth. Thank you so much for making this possible!
‘We can only make DETLC possible for youth with help from the community, and we are so grateful to our sponsors for being a part of this!” Shared Healthy Acadia’s Development Director Shoshona Smith. “Together, we are ensuring that this life-changing, positive, skill-building and supportive space is available for youth regardless of their families’ ability to pay. Thank you, sponsors!”
