Healthy Acadia Celebrates Selection as a Shaw’s GIVE BACK WHERE IT COUNTS Reusable Bag Program Beneficiary for June
Ellsworth, ME. Healthy Acadia has been selected as a June beneficiary of Shaw’s Supermarkets’ GIVE BACK WHERE IT COUNTS Reusable Bag Program. Shaw’s GIVE BACK WHERE IT COUNTS Reusable Bag Program, which launched in March 2019, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support to make a meaningful difference in the communities where shoppers live and work.
Healthy Acadia was selected as the June beneficiary of the program by store leadership at the Shaw’s located at 175 High Street, Ellsworth. The nonprofit community health organization serving Maine’s Hancock and Washington counties will receive a $1 donation every time the $3 GIVE BACK WHERE IT COUNTS Reusable Bag is purchased at this location throughout June, unless otherwise directed by the customer through the Giving Tag attached to the bag.
“We’re so honored to be selected by Shaw’s Ellsworth store team for the GIVE BACK WHERE IT COUNTS Reusable Bag Program,” said Tracey Carlson, Director of Communications at Healthy Acadia. “Every bag purchased in June helps support our mission to build healthier communities across Hancock and Washington counties. We encourage everyone to pick up a bag [or two!], reduce plastic waste, and give back locally—it’s a small action that really does make a big impact.”
