Explore a Future in Healthcare at Summer Scrub Club 2026

Students curious about a future in healthcare are invited to take part in Summer Scrub Club: Health Career Exploration, a fun and hands-on two-day program coming to Bar Harbor this June.

Hosted by Eastern Maine AHEC at Healthy Acadia in partnership with Mount Desert Island Hospital, Summer Scrub Club offers a unique opportunity for students entering grades 7 through 12 to explore a wide range of healthcare careers.

The program will take place Tuesday, June 16 and Wednesday, June 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day at the Lisa Stewart Women’s Health Center, 330 Main Street in Bar Harbor.

Throughout the two days, participants will engage in interactive activities, practice basic healthcare skills, and connect directly with local healthcare professionals. Students will gain real-world insight into the many career paths within today’s healthcare field, helping them better understand their interests and future possibilities.

The cost to attend is $30, which includes lunch both days. Space is limited, and early registration is encouraged.
