Don't Be Bored this Holiday Season

With school’s winter break just around the corner, sometimes it can be hard to keep kids entertained during their long period at home.

If you are looking to entertain students of all ages, our SNAP-Ed Nutrition Educators have your back! Our educators have been making creative videos for over a year now. Here are our educators favorite family-friendly recipe videos and kid-friendly movement breaks.

This super fun Confetti Pepper Cornbread recipe is a great way to get the entire family in the kitchen together. If you are looking for a recipe your young kids can make all on their own, make sure to check out our Banana Sushi Recipe Demo. Lastly, too cold to go outside? Get moving with this “Fruit Salad” Movement Break to help break up the day.

SNAP-Ed educators at Healthy Acadia offer year-round cooking and nutrition classes in partnership with schools and organizations throughout Hancock and Washington counties. To learn more or schedule a class, contact Allie or Kirsten in Washington County, or Nicole or Despe in Hancock County.
