December 4 Food and Nutrition for All Conversation Draws Crowd

Learning, Sharing, Taking Action: Together!

Healthy Acadia hosted a "Food and Nutrition for All" gathering on December 4, bringing together community members and partners for thoughtful conversation and connection. With strong attendance and rich discussion, the gathering focused on learning, sharing, and taking action to strengthen food access and nutrition for everyone across our region.

During the event, Healthy Acadia team members and partner organizations shared updates on the impact of our Healthy Food for All programs and initiatives. We also talked openly about the realities many of our neighbors are facing today, including hunger, limited access to food, and nutrition hardship in Hancock and Washington counties. We explored meaningful and practical ways community members can help support one another and be part of the solution.

The resources below were shared during the event and highlight Healthy Acadia’s food and nutrition programs, current initiatives, and opportunities for community involvement:

These materials offer a deeper look at how Healthy Acadia is working with partners to improve food access, reduce food waste, expand nutrition education, and connect people with local resources, and how community members can get involved.
