Chase Crossman is New Community Peer Health Navigator

We’re excited to announce that Chase Crossman, who recently served as interim Community Peer Health Navigator, has officially accepted the role on a permanent basis. Chase brings valuable experience to this position, having previously supported individuals as part of our Emergency Housing Supports Team at the seasonal overnight warming center, hosted at Healthy Acadia’s INSPIRE Recovery Community Center in Ellsworth.
Chase, what prompted you to join the Healthy Acadia team in this capacity?
My own recovery journey inspired me to join Healthy Acadia, as I understand firsthand the impact that compassionate support can have. I've always had a deep love for helping people, and this role allows me to give back and guide others on their own paths to healing.
What most inspires you about Healthy Acadia's work?
What inspires me most about Healthy Acadia's work is its commitment to building healthier, more connected communities through support, compassion, and collaboration. I'm especially inspired by my role, where I can make a real difference in people's lives by helping them access the care and resources they need to thrive.
What most inspires you on a personal level?
My recovery and homelessness experiences.
What is your favorite thing to do, or place to be, in Maine, and why?
I love my family and I love the outdoors - anywhere on the water or in the woods - Hunting/Fishing.
