Angela Fochesato Selected as New Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center Executive Director

Please join us in congratulating Angela Fochesato!

The Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center Board of Directors has selected Angela Fochesato to serve as the organization’s new Executive Director. Angela, who assumed her new role on July 2, replaces Michael Reisman, who served the organization for the last 18 years.

Angela has worked to support and improve community health through various roles at Healthy Acadia, and prior to that with Washington County: One Community; but is most recently known for her amazing work and dedication as a Cancer Patient Navigator. The Downeast Cancer Patient Navigation Program was established, and continues in collaboration with, Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center. We are grateful that we will continue to work in close partnership with Angela on this program.

In addition to her cancer patient navigation work, Angela has training in cancer patient analytical terminology, data collection and management through the George Washington University Cancer Institute. She has served as Board Chair of the Downeast Public Health Council, Board Trustee for Northern Light-Eastern Maine Medical Center, president and board member of the Machias Bay Chamber of Commerce, is a member of the Maine Cancer Foundation, and has 25 years of combined experience in nonprofit and for-profit management.

Angela will continue to provide navigation services to patients during this transition period, and will assist with training our new Cancer Patient Navigator once they are hired.

We are thrilled for Angela's new role, and we will also greatly miss her energy, passion, and enthusiasm at Healthy Acadia.

Best wishes, Angela!
