Personal Fundraisers - Facebook, Donate Links, and More!

Would you like to hold a fundraiser to benefit Healthy Acadia? Thank you!

We have been honored to be the recipients of a number of personal fundraisers through the years, including birthday fundraisers, youth-led fundraisers, and more. We welcome these incredible efforts to bolster our work through meaningful financial donations and by increasing community awareness about our services.

If you are interested in setting up an online fundraiser, we are happy to provide you with a personalized donate link you can email to friends and family and may be able to provide additional support as well. Let’s talk, and we will see how our team can assist your effort!

Another common online fundraiser model is to use the tools provided through Facebook. If your community is active on this social media platform, Facebook can be a good way to spread the word and get your friends and family involved in supporting a cause you love. If possible, we would appreciate hearing from you before you start your fundraiser, but if you have one underway or have recently held a Facebook fundraiser, we would love to hear about that as well!

Please keep in mind that Facebook provides very limited information to nonprofits on the source of funds raised by personal Facebook fundraisers. To help us thank you and your donors and to earmark the funds raised as you intend - be it where they are needed most or within a specific Focus Area or program - please notify us as soon as possible. To view Focus Areas, visit www.healthyacadia.org/mission (and scroll down to the bottom of the page) or search our programs from our website homepage.

Please plan to share the following information with us:

  • The amount raised through your fundraiser

  • The dates of the fundraiser

Finally, if you are able and willing, it is also helpful for us to receive the names and addresses of those who donated to your fundraiser so that we can be sure to properly thank them.

Are you planning to host an event with an in-person fundraising component? Consider reaching out to our team to learn about what we can offer by way of informational materials, party favors, or other event resources. We are also always happy to help with brainstorming and planning your fundraiser, as desired.

There are so many ways to  fundraise for the things you believe in. We appreciate all creative and thoughtful efforts to champion Healthy Acadia’s mission and work. From setting the tone and fundraiser planning, to spreading the word, to thanking your donors and celebrating their contributions, we are here to help. Thank you for your support!

We welcome you to connect with us by emailing the Development Team at Development@HealthyAcadia.org or calling Shoshona Smith, Director of Development, at (207) 667-7171 Ext. 210.
