INSPIRE Recovery Community Center

Healthy Acadia’s INSPIRE Recovery Community Center, located at 24 Church Street, Ellsworth, is a welcoming space where people in recovery can come together in a safe, supportive, and engaging environment. INSPIRE, established in 2021, serves as a community hub for recovery meetings, coaching, and wellness programming designed to support long-term recovery and overall well-being.

INSPIRE is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and offers a wide variety of recovery support services, life skills classes, and enrichment activities.

Mondays

  • Recovery Café, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., in person at INSPIRE. A place to belong when you have nowhere else that feels like home, a place to meet with others in recovery, and a place of encouragement and hope.

  • Marvelous Monday, 10 a.m. to noon, in person at INSPIRE. Come have some fun at INSPIRE, where the activity is different each week.

    • March 2 - Movie Day

    • March 9 - Vision Boards and Journaling

    • March 16 - Movie Day

    • March 23 - Vision Boards and Journal Making

    • March 30 - Movie Day

  • Bible Study, 10 a.m. to noon, in person at INSPIRE.

  • Growth & Goals, 10 to 11 a.m., in person at INSPIRE. Join us every Monday for an hour-long support meeting focused on setting clear, achievable goals and building accountability in a supportive group environment.

  • SMART Recovery Meeting, 2 to 3 p.m., in person at INSPIRE. Self-Management and Recovery Training is a global community of people and families working together to overcome suffering.

  • Embracing Our Voices, 6 to 7 p.m., in person at INSPIRE, or join virtually via Zoom (Meeting ID: 82539100238 Passcode: 287283). A Hearing Voices Network meeting for individuals who hear voices, see visions, or have other unusual sensory experiences to share their experiences, find support, and develop coping strategies.

  • All Recovery Meeting, 6 to 7 p.m., in person at INSPIRE. All Recovery Meeting honors all pathways to recovery, acknowledging that each person’s path is unique and reflects their personal strengths.

Tuesdays

  • Recovery Café, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., in person at INSPIRE. A place to belong when you have nowhere else that feels like home, a place to meet with others in recovery, and a place of encouragement and hope.

  • SMART Recovery Meeting, 9 to 10 a.m., in person at INSPIRE.

  • Pathways to Recovery, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., in person at INSPIRE. Eight-week class, MArch 3-April 21, 2026. A supportive, guided space where participants explore recovery pathways, build life skills, and strengthen hope through connection and shared experience.

  • Open Recovery Coaching, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in person at INSPIRE. Recovery Coaching offers personalized, peer-based support to help individuals navigate their recovery journey, set goals, and build a healthier, more empowered life.

  • Maine Can Work, 2 to 3 p.m., in person at INSPIRE. A supportive space to build job skills, explore employment opportunities, and take confident steps toward your career goals.

Wednesdays

  • Wacky Wednesday, 10 a.m. to noon, in person at INSPIRE. Come have some fun at INSPIRE, where the activity is different each week.

  • Wellness Recovery Action Plan Meeting, 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., in person at INSPIRE.

  • Color Me Social, 1 to 2 p.m., in person at INSPIRE. A creative and relaxing art activity where people can color, connect, and enjoy each other’s company in a welcoming space.

  • SMART Recovery for Friends and Family, 2 to 3 p.m., in person at INSPIRE.

  • Wellness Circle, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., Join us at INSPIRE on the 2 and 4 Thursday of every month for our Wellness Circle. A safe and supportive space to focus on healing, balance, and community.

  • Bible Study, 11 a.m. to noon, in person at INSPIRE.

  • Book Club, 2 to 3:13 p.m., in person at INSPIRE. A welcoming, judgment-free space to explore meaningful stories, share your thoughts, and connect with others through open, thoughtful conversation and community. Meetings starting Thursday, March 19.

  • Tai Chi, 2 to 3 p.m., In person at INSPIRE. A gentle, flowing practice that blends slow, intentional movements with deep breathing to support balance, relaxation, and overall wellness.

  • Alternatives to Suicide Meeting, 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month, 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., in person at INSPIRE. This peer led support group fosters reconnection with one and ones true self, emphasizes the power of mutual support and community connection to help individuals change their relationship with their thoughts and find reasons to live, reducing shame and isolation.

  • Recovery Dharma Meeting, 6 to 7 p.m., in person at INSPIRE. A peer-led support group that uses Buddhist principles and practices to heal from addiction and support recovery.

Fridays

  • Recovery Café, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., in person at INSPIRE. A place to belong when you have nowhere else that feels like home, a place to meet with others in recovery, and a place of encouragement and hope.

  • Fun Friday, 10 a.m. to noon, in person at INSPIRE. Come have some fun at INSPIRE, where the activity is different each week:

  • Peer Support Group, 11 a.m. to noon, in person at INSPIRE. Join us every Friday for this peer support group, a welcoming, judgment-free space where individuals can connect with others who have lived experience. The group focuses on mutual support, shared understanding, and building community through open conversation.

  • Open Recovery Coaching, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in person at INSPIRE. Recovery Coaching offers personalized, peer-based support to help individuals navigate their recovery journey, set goals, and build a healthier, more empowered life.

Saturdays

  • All Recovery Meeting, 6 to 7 p.m., in person at INSPIRE. Recovery Coaching offers personalized, peer-based support to help individuals navigate their recovery journey, set goals, and build a healthier, more empowered life.

INSPIRE also offers seasonal events, health clinics, and educational programs aligned with national health observances. A private space is available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for virtual Narcotics Anonymous meetings.
