Alcohol Misuse Prevention

Responsible Sales Training

Selling and serving alcohol comes with important responsibilities. Staff need the right training to keep customers safe and follow the law.

Healthy Acadia offers Responsible Sales Training for managers and employees at stores, restaurants, bars, and other businesses that sell alcohol in Hancock and Washington counties.

Our 3-hour training sessions help staff:

  • Understand and follow Maine liquor laws

  • Prevent underage sales and high-risk drinking

  • Recognize fake IDs

  • Handle difficult situations with confidence

  • Refuse alcohol service safely and respectfully

During the training, participants review real-life scenarios, examine examples of fake identification cards, and learn about safe business practices. We focus on practical skills staff can use right away.

Free, State-Certified Training

Healthy Acadia offers state-certified Responsible Beverage Server & Seller Training sessions, and they’re free.

If you own a restaurant, bar, convenience store, or other retail location where alcohol is sold, we encourage you to schedule a training for your team.
