Learn how you can support the Downeast Mental Health Fund
Everyone deserves access to quality mental health care and the opportunity to thrive. Finding and paying for counseling services can be challenging and navigating the mental health system is not easy. The Downeast Mental Health Fund (DMHF) is committed to helping reduce these barriers by connecting individuals and families with financial support for counseling services.
The Downeast Mental Health Fund (DMHF), in partnership with Healthy Acadia, helps year-round residents of Hancock and Washington counties connect with local mental health services by reducing financial barriers to care. This support allows individuals and families to seek help when they need it most while also sustaining a strong network of local mental health professionals by ensuring clinicians receive their standard rates. Together, these efforts strengthen the health and well-being of the entire community.
Through this funding, eligible applicants may receive assistance for counseling services for individuals, couples, families, or groups. Services are available both in person and through secure telehealth, allowing you to choose the option that best meets your needs.
NOTE: This Fund is currently in the building stage and we are not yet accepting applications. When launched, applications will reviewed individually, and funding will awarded based on the availability of DMHF resources.
