The Intersection of OUD and Suicide

Healthy Acadia and Maine Medical Association invite you to attend a free educational webinar, “The Intersection of OUD and Suicide with Joanna Bridger, LICSW,” on Thursday, May 20, 2021, from, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bridger will explore how unhealthy substance use can increase the risk for suicidal thoughts and behaviors, and vice versa; how the physiological impact of early adversity and toxic stress can increase the risk for developing an opiate use disorder (OUD) and/or suicidal thoughts or behaviors.

Attendees will explore examples of innovative approaches to mitigate the impact of trauma associated with addiction and suicide and discuss client fears regarding opening up about suicidal thoughts when receiving treatment for OUD.

Registration is not required. Zoom info into your calendar! Healthy Acadia and Maine Medical Association are utilizing the Project ECHO platform for this presentation.
