“Party Scenes With Substance-Free Teens” Will Focus on Community Involvement in Preventing Underage Drinking
August 29, 2016

Ellsworth. On Tuesday, September 27, 2016, Healthy Acadia will host a community forum titled “Party Scenes With Substance-Free Teens: How to Prevent Underage Drinking” from 5:30pm-7:00pm at Ellsworth Elementary-Middle School. The evening will begin with a light dinner, followed by a highly interactive activity featuring scenario-based small group discussions facilitated by local prevention, treatment and law enforcement professionals. The program will conclude with a question and answer session, an update on community initiatives and opportunities to engage in prevention and treatment activities. The meal and program are free and open to all community members. The discussion scenarios are appropriate for the whole family.

“Party Scenes” will begin at 5:30pm at the Ellsworth Elementary Middle School’s Multi-purpose Room on Tuesday, September 27. Advance registration is strongly recommended so that we can plan for enough food for everyone.

This “Party Scenes With Substance-Free Teens” community conversation is sponsored by Healthy Acadia and the Hancock County Drug Free Communities Initiative, with funding support provided in part by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
