Healthy Acadia will offer Responsible Beverage Server and Seller Trainings
July 22, 2016

Ellsworth. Healthy Acadia will offer Responsible Beverage Server & Seller (RBS) trainings on Wednesday, August 17, 2016, at the Hampton Inn in Ellsworth (6 Downeast Highway). These trainings provide employees and staff of restaurants, bars, retail stores, or liquor stores with knowledge to better identify and prevent violations of liquor laws. The three-hour session will also provide training on best practices to spot underage drinkers and prevent sales to minors, recognize signs of intoxication, and handle alcohol-related situations with greater confidence. RBS training certification is recognized by insurance providers and may lead to reduced rates for businesses who train their employees. RBS training will help reduce the risk of making costly and/or tragic unlawful sales.

A Responsible Beverage Seller training for employees of businesses with off-premise liquor licenses, including grocery, liquor, and convenience stores, will be held from 8:30am -11:30am. A Responsible Beverage Server training for employees of businesses with on-premises liquor licenses, such as restaurants, hotels and bars where alcohol is consumed, will be held from 12:30pm - 3:30pm. A light snack will be provided.
All participants receive a certificate of completion valid for 5 years. Registration fee is $25.00 per participant. Participants must arrive on time and bring a valid photo ID for certification. Please register by noon on August 15, 2016.
