Kitchen Herb Wellness Workshop (11:30 - 12:30 pm)

The Henry D. Moore Library and Community Center (22 Village Road, Steuben), in partnership with Healthy Acadia, will host a free workshop focused on growing and using herbs to promote health on Wednesday, April 3, 2019, from 11:30am to 12:30pm. Interested community members are welcome and invited to attend this free workshop to learn how to enjoy planting seeds for an indoor/outdoor kitchen herb garden, explore ways to use culinary herbs to support health and wellness through resources developed by the National Library of Medicine and National Institutes of Health, and find easy and delicious ways to incorporate herbs into every day meals and wellness routines. Kitchen herb seeds and planting materials for the workshop will be provided at no cost to participants. Downeast Care Givers Support Group for Caregivers and Ostomates (11 - 1 pm)

The Group meets monthly the last Friday of each month. Please come to Eastport Health Care Board Room Refreshments are provided. There is no charge to participants. Designed for caregivers who may be family of friends. This group provides an opportunity to learn, share, laugh and cry through the guidance of professionals and speakers who understand the importance of having somewhere to turn for assistance. Ostomy support group for ostomates and caregivers may also include people with an intestinal or urinary diversion or supporting someone with an ostomy, a loved one, friend or anyone wanting to learn about ostomies.
